Back to School Update

Good Morning Mathews Families! 

I hope the summer continues to find you and your families well.  I am sure everyone has heard by now that PISD has made the difficult decision to delay the start of in person school until after Labor Day.  Our PTA has been working hard all summer preparing for the start of school amidst regularly changing plans and guidelines. 

Due to the continuous changes and the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, we are behind on turning up Membership Toolkit (MTK) for completion of enrollment forms, PTA membership, ordering of school supplies and spirit wear, hospitality, fundraising and volunteer interest.  Many of the forms are currently on MTK  in test mode and we hope to turn those "live" in the very near future.  Please note that everything on the MTK Back to School page is important whether your student will continue with online learning or return to face to face instruction when school is back in session. 

The Mathews PTA still has several open positions if you are interested in helping out this year.  Though all positions are drastically needing to be filled, Website and MTK, Communications and Council/Legislative representative are key right now due to all that is going on with planning for the new school year.  If you are interested (or if you know someone who is interested), please sign up on the google doc link below:
